Bolong LIU is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau. Professor Liu’s research interests focus on public policy and administative reforms on mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, Chinese environmental and rural policies, and the political economy of Hong Kong and Macau. He has written or edited multiple books and numerous articles in both Chinese and English, including Contemporary Public Policy in China (Shanghai: Fudan University Press, 2000) , Public Policies in Rural China (co-authored with Zha Qianwei and T.J. Cheng; Shanghai: Fudan University Press, 2006), China-U.S. Trade and Economic Relations (Beijing: Social Sciences Academy Press, 2013), and Research on Agricultural Cooperatives in China (Shanghai: Fudan University Press, 2014). Professor Liu holds a Doctor of Social Sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), a Master of Social Sciences from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing, and a Bachelor of Arts from Anhui University.
