Prof. Hao Yufan is Emeritus Professor at the Department of Government and Public Administration at University of Macau (UM). He was the Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Chair Professor of Political Science at UM from 2013 to 2018 and Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities from 2005 to 2013. He obtained his MA and PhD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He was a McArthur Fellow at Harvard University Center for International Affairs (1988-1989) and taught at Colgate University (1990-2005), holding an endowed Chair of Robert Hung Ngai Ho Professor of Asian Studies. He was a visiting professor to Peking University, Tsinghua University and Renmin University of China, and a visiting fellow at the Seoul Academy of East Asian Studies, International University of Japan, Keio University and the Brookings Institution. He is currently holding honorable adjunct professorship at Fudan University, Shanghai University of International Studies, Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, etc. He has written and edited 31 books and monographs and authored more than 50 journal articles and book chapters. Currently he is the Director of Global Studies Program and Presidential Chair Professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen)
