Kin Sun CHAN is Programme Coordinator of Master of Public Administration and Assistant Professor of Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau. He holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Social Work and Social Administration at the University of Hong Kong, an M.Phil. from the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Hong Kong, and a B.Soc.Sci (Double Major in Economics and Statistics) from the University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Chan’s research interests are social policy analysis, particularly with respect to aging, suicide, and public finance, as well as, empirical studies of public policy. He has published in both English and Chinese-language journals, including the Asian Journal of Public Administration, the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, the International Journal of Aging and Development, the Journal of Macau Studies, Public Administration and Policy Review, and the Chinese Journal of Population Science. Dr. Chan has also conducted more than 20 Macau SAR Government funded research project. Dr. Chan is a Research Fellow with the Sau Po Centre on Ageing and Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention at Hong Kong University. He is the current Chairman of the Macau Social Security Society and Macau Smoking Abstention and Good Health Association.
