Dr. Bruce Kam-Kwan KWONG is Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Macau. He earned a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Hong Kong, an M.Phil. in Government and Public Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a B.Soc.Sc. in Government from the University of East Asia (Macau). His research focuses on elections, patron-client politics, policing, and public ethics in greater China. Dr. Kwong is the author of Patron-Client Politics and Elections in Hong Kong (Routledge, 2009) and translated John P. Burns’ book, Government Capacity and Civil Service of Hong Kong (Oxford University Press, 2010) into Chinese. He has also co-edited two volumes on socio-political affairs in Hong Kong and Macau following the handover. Dr. Kwong’s articles have appeared in multiple journals including the Journal of Contemporary China, the Journal of Comparative Asian Development, the Journal of Current Chinese Affairs, and Chinese Law and Government.
