Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science
The Ph.D. in Political Science is designed to train students to conduct advanced scholarly research in international relations, comparative politics, or political theory and to prepare them for academic and research-oriented careers.
Course Plan
Successful completion of the Ph.D. requires passing four courses and the Qualifying Examinations. Additionally, all Ph.D. students must research and write an original doctoral thesis and successfully defend it before a faculty committee.
