Tak-Wing Ngo is Professor of Political Science at the University of Macau. He holds a Ph.D. from SOAS London and worked as an anti-corruption official and journalist. He taught at Leiden University and was the IIAS Professor of Asian History at Erasmus University Rotterdam and a fellow of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study at the Royal Netherlands Academy. Professor Ngo is currently the editor of the journal China Information (SSCI-indexed) and co-editor of the Journal of Contemporary Asia (SSCI-indexed). He also edits two book series on Governance in Asia (NIAS Press) and Global Asia (Amsterdam University Press). He is the author and editor of more than 20 books on East Asian politics and political economy.
